It’s the news everyone’s waiting for in Huron Township.
A press release issued from Township Hall Friday says that the Waltz Road Bridge is due to open June 3.
Here is the press release, as well as a statement from Supervisor David Glaab:
The county closed the former 100-year-old bridge on June 1, 2017 after an inspection found the bridge bearings had deteriorated to the point that it was deemed unsafe to keep open.
Toebe Construction, LLC of Wixom, was awarded the contract to reconstruct the Waltz Road Bridge in August 2018.
