Huron Hub comment policy established July 2016

First things first: We love comments and appreciate the time that our readers spend to share ideas and give feedback on The Huron Hub — Huron Township’s only all-local internet news publication.

To cultivate discussion that’s appropriate for readers of all ages, The Huron Hub reserves the right to censor, edit, or delete any comments that are considered insulting, racial, threatening, or libelous in nature. The Huron Hub also reserves the right to ban any members who do not follow these rules.

Posted comments, links and images do not necessarily represent the views of The Huron Hub. External, non-Huron Hub links on this site do not constitute official endorsement on behalf of The Huron Hub. While we encourage fans to share thoughts and opinions on The Huron Hub’s article feed and social media pages, we expect that this will be done in a respectful manner.

The Huron Hub does not agree with or endorse every comment that individuals post on our pages. Our goal is to share ideas and information with as many individuals as possible and our policy is to accept the majority of comments made to our profile.

Therefore, a comment will be deleted if it contains:

-Hate speech
-Profanity, obscenity or vulgarity
-Nudity in profile pictures
-Defamation to a person or people
-Name calling and/or personal attacks
-Comments whose main purpose are to sell a product
-Comments that infringe on copyrights
-Spam comments, such as the same comment posted repeatedly on a profile
-Comments submitted from illegitimate/spam profiles
-Other comments that the Huron Hub Facebook team deems inappropriate

All links posted as comments on Huron Hub posts will be reviewed and may be deleted.

Repeated violations of The Huron Hub comment policy may cause the author to be blocked from future participation.

We hope all readers understand that, while social media is a 24/7 medium, our moderation capabilities are not. We may not see every inappropriate comment right away, and we are trusting in the maturity of our community to ignore personal attacks and negative speech or respond politely.
