There is progress being made at the Waltz Road Bridge site in New Boston.
Large beams that will span the bridge arrived at the site on Thursday, signaling headway on the bridge’s construction.
Tony’s Coney Island and Grill, located right near the bridge site in downtown New Boston, posted a video on their Facebook page showing the arrival of the first bridge beam.

An official opening date for the new bridge has yet to be announced to the public, but it has been mentioned at past Huron Board of Trustees meetings that the new bridge could be completed sometime in the spring or early summer.
Crews have been working at the site since fall.
