Here is a weather alert from the National Weather Service.
—————-
Special Statement
There will be an increase in the coverage and intensity of snow showers across the area into early afternoon. A few of these snow showers will produce brief intervals of reduced visibilities, less than a half mile at times. The heavier snow showers will also produce a quick dusting of accumulation, possibly up to a half inch. With temperatures in the teens, snow will easily accumulate onto road surfaces.
Drivers across Southeast Michigan early this afternoon should be prepared for rapidly fluctuating visibilities and variable road conditions due to snow showers. Slow down and allow plenty of room between you and the vehicle in front of you, especially on the Interstate freeways.
