An ice storm warning is in effect for Wayne County through 4 a.m. Thursday morning.

Forecasters say moderate to briefly heavy freezing rain will persist through the rest of the evening before ending around or shortly after midnight.

Locations near Lake Erie will have less ice accumulations due to the influence of the lake.

Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions will impact evening travel on the roads.

Total ice accumulations around a quarter inch are expected through the storm warning’s timeframe.

Prepare for possible power outages. Be aware of possible falling tree branches and power lines.
