Southeast Michigan is now under a winter storm warning for all of Wednesday.
6 to 8 inches of snow is expected by the time the winter storm is done.
Light snow will develop around 6 a.m., however, amounts and impacts during the morning commute are expected to remain relatively minor.
Snow will then steadily increase in intensity with the peak of the heaviest snowfall rates between 10 a.m and 4 p.m. Wednesday.
Travel conditions will deteriorate considerably during the afternoon into the early commute.
