A Taylor teen is facing weapons and drug charges after being caught with the items at Summit Academy North High School on Tuesday.
Ra’Kai Joshua Edmonds, 18, is facing felony firearms charges after bringing an airsoft gun to the school, causing a lockdown and police search.
Police say Edmonds was also in possession of marijuana and a knife.
He is charged with possession of marijuana on school property; weapons -felony firearm – pneumatic gun; and weapon-free schools – possessing weapon.
He was arraigned and is being held at the Wayne County Jail in adult custody on a
$20,000/10% bond.
Summit Academy North High School is within Huron Township’s jurisdiction.
