Snow lovers rejoice; snow haters, well, sorry.

It looks like a wallop of a snow storm is heading toward Michigan mid-week.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm watch in effect for Wednesday and Thursday.

A long duration of light to moderate intensity snowfall is expected between Wednesday morning and Thursday evening.

Snow may become briefly heavy at times.

Total snow accumulations of 8 to 14 inches possible.

Snow will increase in coverage Tuesday night and Wednesday morning. An area of snowfall will then persist Wednesday and Thursday. Gusty winds from the north on Thursday will also contribute to some blowing of snow.

Check forecasts as we get closer to the snow event for finer tuned snow totals.
