Barbara Mary Gibbs passed peacefully November 4th 2021 in Greenville, North Carolina.
Born December 18th 1932, In Detroit, Michigan.
Proceeded in death by her parents Anna & Bruno Okarski, her Brother Jerry Okasrki (Edna), and her Husband Louis Gibbs.
Survived by her children Susan Gibbs and Brian Gibbs, her daughter in law- Alice, and her grandchildren, Brittany & Brian Kinder, Sarah Gibson & Christopher Pinter.
Barbara and her husband Louis owned and operated an Ice Cream Shop that was a local favorite; Gibbs Sweet Station in New Boston, Michigan where they resided for the majority of their life. During that time, Barbara served as a boss, mentor and comedian while scooping cones for the residents of the town. She retired in 2019 and moved to Greenville, North Carolina. A true beacon of love and laughter she will be missed by all who had the chance to meet her.
To honor her wishes, there will be no funeral or viewing arrangements. Donations can be made in her memory to The Potter’s Wheel Ministry Men’s Alumni, PO Box 8, Mount Olive, North Carolina 28365.
