Severe thunderstorms blasted the southeast Michigan area Wednesday afternoon causing thousands of power outages.

A check of the DTE outage map shows power outages scattered all across the area.

Here is a screen shot showing the local outages:

DTE says over 300,000 total customers across the state are without power at this time.

At the time this was published, no estimated restoration times were listed on the outage map.

Forecasters say the severe storm threat remains a possibility into the evening as more storms are moving across the state tonight.
