Developing: Vehicle ends up in pond after thieves try to steal cars from CSX rail yard

Thieves attempted to steal cars from a rail yard along Pennsylvania Road early Thursday morning.

Everette Robbins, Huron Township director of public safety, said the investigation is being handled by CSX police, and that it will be CSX police that will release further updates when available.

“We responded to the incident and ultimately turned it over to the CSX railroad police due to jurisdictional constraints,” Robbins told The Huron Hub.

One of the vehicles ended up in a pond on the property according to media reports, and no other information about the incident is immediately available.
