Huron Township Police say a man is in custody after a police pursuit ended in a crash and foot chase on Wahrman Road Tuesday afternoon.
Huron Township Public Safety updated the community on their Facebook page.
The post reads:
Update:After an extensive search and neighbor cooperation, the suspect is IN CUSTODY.
PUBLIC SAFETY ALERT:
The Huron Township Police Department is on the scene of a Police pursuit/crash in the area of Wahrman Road between Sibley and Huron River Drive.
One occupants fled on foot from the vehicle and a handgun was recovered at the scene. Residents in the area should be observant and call 911 immediately if the suspect is seen. The suspect is a black male, with dreadlocks, wearing a white shirt. It is unknown if he is armed. Do not approach if observed.
The Huron Township K9 Unit and Detective Bureau are on the scene and the Huron Township drone is in the process of being deployed for an area search.
Please avoid the area if possible
