I want to take a moment to thank our parents and community
for their patience during our planning process as we approach
the beginning of the 2020-2021 school year. The Huron School
District has worked hard to balance the social distancing
guidelines, staffing considerations, clearing protocols,
contractual obligations, and transportation issues as we
attempt to provide the safest and most purposeful learning
environment for students.

In a time when most districts in our region are beginning the
year remotely, we are working to offer parents the best choices
we are able to provide, while keeping class sizes low and
complying with state requirements that have been dictated to
schools.

We understand that our modified schedule will present
challenges for parents and families, and we are thankful for the
patience and support that we have received from our
community. We have confidence that we will get through this
together, and we are hopeful that our efforts will lead to a
successful start of the year.

Thank you again for your support and understanding.

Jack Richert
President
Huron Board of Education
