Hundreds of DTE customers are without power after a round of severe storms pounded southeast Michigan Sunday.

A check of the DTE outage map shows the damage across the area:

The DTE outage map as of Sunday, July 19 at 3 p.m. shows hundreds of DTE power customers without service.

A statement from DTE said:

“Scattered thunderstorms with high winds are moving across the state and are causing power outages for some of our customers. We know being without power, especially in these extreme temperatures, is inconvenient. Our employees and contractor crews are in the field working to restore power to our customers as quickly and safely as possible. Restoration estimates will be updated once crews arrive on scene and fully assess storm damage. Our teams are implementing enhanced health and safety measures during the pandemic, please help us keep you and them safe by staying at least six feet away from crews you see working in the field.”
