Huroc Park is reopening after it closed April 9 due go the COVID-19 pandemic.

The city of Flat Rock said in a Facebook post that the park will reopen Friday, May 8 and that visitors must follow social distancing guidelines while visiting the park.

The city said that public bathrooms and playground equipment will remain closed during the pandemic.

“You must maintain social distancing, especially when crossing the narrow bridge and walkways. Please wait for the bridge to be clear of oncoming pedestrians before crossing and be courteous of other people. If social distancing cannot be maintained, we will have no other choice but to close the park again. Please be safe and think about the health and safety of yourselves and others,” the city said in a post.
