You can access the website for the daily updates here: michigan.gov/coronavirus

As of March 19, 2020, there are 336 total cases of COVID-19 in Michigan. Three people have died from the virus as of Thursday: two with pre-existing health conditions, and one person over 80.

In the daily web update at 2 p.m., the department will provide statewide numbers for:

  • Cases and deaths broken down by county
  • Cases by age range (in 10-year increments)
  • Cases by sex

The afternoon web update will include all information reported through midnight the previous day.

Older adults and people who have severe underlying chronic medical conditions like heart or lung disease or diabetes seem to be at higher risk for developing more serious complications from COVID-19 illness, according to the CDC.

The CDC said to consult with your health care provider about additional steps you may be able to take to protect yourself.
