A winter weather advisory has been issued for southeast Michigan through 10 p.m. Sunday evening.
Snow will begin between 2 and 4 p.m. Sunday.
Snow accumulations of 2 to 3 inches are forecasted.
The National Weather Service says the bulk of the snow will occur over a short time period with snowfall rates up to an inch per hour.
The snow will taper off to light rain or drizzle this evening, with temperatures a couple degrees above freezing.
