Updated 3:00 PM: a dense fog advisory issued for southeast Michigan until midnight
Heavy fog and wet roads will impact Sunday travel plans throughout Metro Detroit.
The National Weather Service in Detroit issued a special weather statement Sunday afternoon.
Fog and drizzle will expand across the area during the rest of the afternoon.
Some of the fog will be locally dense and reduce the visibility to one quarter of a mile or less.
Between locally poor visibilities and slippery, wet roads, expect hazardous travel at times and drive with care as these conditions persist into evening hours.
