It’s not yet officially winter on the calendar, but that’s not stopping Mother Nature.
A winter weather advisory is in effect for Wayne County from 4 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday.
3 to 5 inches of snow is expected across the Metro area on Monday, according to the National Weather Service in Detroit.
Snow will begin early Monday morning and persist through much of the afternoon, according to forecasters.
Temperatures will hold steady in the upper 20s and low 30 in the morning before gradually dropping during the afternoon.
Motorists should plan on slippery road conditions that likely will impact the morning and evening commutes.
