It was a special season for the Huron Soccer boys team.
The team, led by fourth-year head coach Matt Lividini, finished the season with a 13-5-2 record and a second-place finish in the Huron League.
The team made it all the way to the district championship game where they lost to Tecumseh by a score of 3-1.
The team had two players that achieved the All-State category for their play in the 2019 season.
Senior captain Brendan Robbins, a 4-year varsity player, received several post season awards for the 2019 Season.
Robbins was awarded with: First Team All-Huron League; First Team All-District, ranked #5 player in the district; MHSAA First Team All-Region; All-State honorable mention; Huron Soccer 2019 most valuable player; Monroe News All-Region Team.
Robbins scored 16 Goals and 10 assists for a total of 42 points, and played every game this season despite breaking his arm mid-season in a matchup against St. Mary Catholic Central.
Senior captain Salvatore Marchionda, also a 4-year varsity player, received multiple post season awards for the 2019 Season.
Marchionda was awarded: First Team All-Huron League; First Team All-District, ranked #2 player in the district; MHSAA First Team All-Region; All-State honorable mention; Monroe News All-Region Team.
Marchionda scored 17 Goals and 5 assists for a total of 39 points. Marchionda also excelled as the kicker for the High School football team.
Many other players on the team received accolades for their performances during the season.
Junior Captain Ricky Emelian, a 3-year varsity player, received First Team All-Huron League; First Team All-District, ranked #8 player in the district; Monroe News All-Region Team; Huron Soccer 2019 Coaches Award.
