Expect orange barrels and lane closures in early 2020 on a stretch of I-275 north of Huron Township.
The Michigan Department of Transportation announced Monday a planned I-275 repair project that will stretch from Canton to Livonia.
MDOT says they are investing $50 million in early 2020 to perform bridge and road work on I-275 between M-153 (Ford Road) and 6 Mile Road.
During construction, I-275 will have two lanes open in each direction during the entire project and will include ramp closures.
MDOT is hosting a public meeting for residents who want more information about the project and want to give their feedback.
The meeting will be held Tuesday, Oct. 15, from 4 – 6 p.m. at Summit on the Park, 46000 Summit Parkway in Canton.
There will be exhibits displaying project locations, types of work, and traffic details.
Those interested will have the opportunity to meet the design team and learn details
about the project.
Accommodations for the meeting can be made for persons with disabilities and limited English-speaking ability by calling 517-335-4381.
