Huron-Clinton Metroparks Police are asking for assistance from the public in locating a man who went missing from Oakwoods Metropark in New Boston on July 11.
Mitchell Lawrence Saari, 64, entered the park at 6:11 p.m. that day and hasn’t been seen since.
He was first reported as missing by authorities on July 16.
He’s reportedly an avid biker and often visits the metroparks to use the trails.
Michael Reese, chief of Metroparks police, said officers continue to search areas of the park.
Reese is asking the public for tips about Saari’s whereabouts.
“Metroparks PD continues to search the area around both Willow and Oakwood Metroparks with negative results. We’re still requesting the public’s assistance in locating Mitchell Saari,” Reese told The Huron Hub on Monday.
The gray 2013 Ford F-150 that Saari drives was found empty at the horse staging area of the park.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call the Metroparks Police Department at 734-697-9181 or the Huron Township Police Department at 734-753-4400.
