Storms slammed southeast Michigan Friday afternoon and into the evening hours, causing several hundred power outages in Huron Township.

Above is the DTE outage map for Huron Township as of 9:35 p.m. Friday.

It shows a large portion of the township is without power.

Green represents 200 DTE customers without power for both areas, yellow is nearly 600 customers without power.

Estimated restoration time for the green areas is listed as Saturday afternoon, and the yellow does not have an estimated time at the time this post was published.

There are also a few scattered outages on the west side of I-275 in the township.

Flat Rock, Huron’s neighboring city, was hit particularly hard with rain.

Several social media posts show flooded streets in the subdivisions in the community.

Several thousand power customers are also without power across other parts of Michigan due to strong afternoon storms, according to the outage map.
