A 21-year-old Milan woman was arrested Monday after she allegedly stole items from unlocked cars in Huron Township.
Angel Lorena-Suzzan Beck, who was wanted on an unrelated felony warrant, stole items out of several unlocked cars, according to police.
Everette Robbins, Huron director of public safety, said the police department responded to multiple reports of larceny from cars that occurred during the early morning hours Monday from the Falkirk Subdivision.
All of the vehicles involved in the incident were unlocked.
A second suspect was able to get away, but Robbins said they are actively searching for this person.
“In this case, the suspects spent approximately 30 minutes in the neighborhood looking for unlocked cars. Based on neighborhood video that we have reviewed, they bypassed numerous cars that we locked and moved on to easier targets. We would like to remind our residents to lock their homes, vehicles and outbuildings,” Robbins said.
“This arrest was made possible through the help of some very vigilant neighbors in that neighborhood. As always, if you see something that looks out of place, call and report it.”
