TADPOLES: Planting a Rainbow

This monthly nature series for young children, is themed from books by author Lois Ehlert.
This month’s theme is based off the “planting a Rainbow” book. Join us to learn about colors

known as the American Woodcock. Join us for a quick indoor overview of the Woodcock,
followed by a trip outdoors to witness the calls and dance of the male. Wear waterproof shoes
….they are called “bog-suckers” after all! $4 per child; $6 adult

USFWS Lake Sturgeon Restoration Program

at what the USFWS is doing the in the Lake St. Clair—Detroit River corridor in an attempt

Drop-in Owl Pellet Dissecting Day
Saturday, April 20th at 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Oakwoods Nature Center, Flat Rock
Stop in anytime between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. to learn about owls, owl pellets, and get your very own owl pellet dissection kit.
Our staff will help you work through the pellet to discover what the owl had for lunch, and we will attempt to put the skeleton
of the animal back together.
