The Huron Historical Commission is hosting a free genealogy workshop at the Willow Schoolhouse in Waltz on Thursday, Feb. 28.

The workshop will be lead by Lesley Harkai.

Harkai holds degrees in history and museum administration and will soon receive her board certification in genealogy, making her one of only three certified genealogists in Michigan, according to the Historical Commission.

Attendees can learn tips and tricks to dig into their family history while receiving resources to assist in research.

The workshop’s capacity is 24 people. The Historical Commission requests those who want to attend to visit their Facebook event page to sign-up and to view full information about the event.

Light refreshments will also be served.
