It’s going to be a messy Wednesday around here.
The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory lasting all day Wednesday and into the evening.
Light snow will transition to light freezing rain on Wednesday morning. Up to one inch of snow will be possible between 7 a.m. and 9 a.m. before transitioning to light freezing rain.
Isolated moderate to intense freezing rain showers will be possible. Total ice accumulations is forecasted to be 0.1 inches or less between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. with localized amounts up to 0.15 inches possible.
Brief periods of sleet will be also possible during the morning.
Temperatures will gradually rise from around 20 degrees in the morning to near freezing around sunset.
The winter weather advisory means that snow and freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Expect slippery roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.
