A winter weather advisory is in effect from early Tuesday morning through Wednesday morning, according to the National Weather Service.
Heavy mixed precipitation is possible during the advisory time period.
Total snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches possible south of the M-59 corridor, with 2 to 4 inches possible between the M-59 and I-69 corridors.
Total ice accumulations of one to three tenths of an inch is possible, with highest totals between the I-94 and M-59 corridors.
Wind gusts in excess of 30 mph may create areas of blowing snow and near whiteout conditions at times.
Expect hazardous travel conditions, especially during the Tuesday morning commute.
Scattered power outages will be possible.
