On Sept. 22, officers responded to the 34500 block of Ash for a burglary of an unlocked shed and an unlocked vehicle. A lawn mower was taken from the unlocked shed. A wallet, laptop, and kitchen faucet were taken from the unlocked vehicle.

On Sept. 25, officers responded to the 33900 block of Ash for a larceny from an unlocked car. Tools were taken from the car.

On Sept. 30, officers responded to the 34100 block of Ash for a report of a burglary to an unlocked garage. Tools were stolen from the garage.

Public Safety Director Everette Robbins said some of the calls may have been delayed in reporting to police, and it is possible they occurred on different dates than initially reported.

“I can’t stress the importance of residents locking their cars, homes, and outbuildings. Thieves are looking for quick scores and easy targets. In many cases, not all, thieves will move on from a locked item and find one that is unlocked,” Robbins said.

Anyone who can identify the thief should contact the Huron Township Police Department Detective Bureau at 734-753-4400.
