The police renewal millage on Tuesday’s ballot passed in Huron Township.

The millage passed with 1919 voting yes to 808 voting no.

The millage passing secures police department operations into 2040.

Here is the language that was on the ballot for the renewed millage.

Also on the ballot was a democratic spot for Trustee for the fall election.

David Haener edged out Donna Puskar Mendrysa with 453 votes to Mendrysa’s 406 votes.

Township Clerk Jeremy Cady said Angela Cady appeared to have gained enough write-in votes to appear as the Republican trustee candidate in the November election.

Cady said the County Board of Canvassers will certify those votes.

In the primary election, Jeremy Cady ran unopposed and gained 771 votes.
