Trustee vacancy on the agenda for the May 9 board meeting

The vacant trustee position on the township board will be addressed during the May 9 meeting.

Six Huron Township residents have applied for the position, which will be decided by the board and held by the chosen candidate until the 2018 election.

During that election, a two year trustee position will be voted on by residents.

The trustee position was left vacant after former Clerk Kathleen Van Wasshnova retired and current Clerk Jeremy Cady was appointed to the position.

Cady was a trustee on the board before he was appointed as clerk, leaving the seat vacant.

The residents who applied for the position are: Angie Cady; Christine Gamber-McLennon; David Haener; Walter Irodenko; Donna Mendrysa; Candace Myshock.

The board has requested that all candidates be present during Wednesday’s board meeting, during which, each candidate will have a chance to speak.
