Rain will turn to snow this afternoon

By Scott BolthouseHub Editor—ScottBolthouse@HuronHub.com

Update, 3:30 p.m. — Winter weather advisory has been upgraded to a winter storm advisory, which had been issued through 4 a.m. Friday.

After a two-day span of beautiful, spring-like weather, Old Man Winter shows us he’s not quite ready to pack his bags.

A winter weather advisory is in effect for Huron Township until 4 a.m.

3 to 6 inches of snow is expected, with the possibility of some locally higher amounts in the metro area.

Rain today turns over to all snow during the afternoon.

Snow could become heavy at times, especially in the corridor between Flint and Ann Arbor/Detroit, the National Weather Service in Detroit says.

Snow should taper off after midnight, and temperatures rebound to 40 degrees on Friday.
