In an online video, State Rep. Darrin Camilleri (D-Brownstown Twp.) announced Jan. 3 his bid for re-election to the Michigan House of Representatives in 2018.
Camilleri represents Brownstown, Gibraltar, Grosse Ile, Huron, Trenton, and Woodhaven.
“My family raised me to work hard and believe in the promise and possibility of the American Dream, so I went to work to serve our community,” Camilleri said. “Over the last year, I’ve fought for our values in Michigan’s legislature to protect our public schools, invest in our infrastructure, and create an economy where everyone is secure,” he said in the video.
Camilleri will be hosting a campaign kickoff event on Jan. 28 at the Brownstown Events Center from 2 to 4 p.m.
More information about the event can be found here.
