So far, it looks like Mother Nature is easing us into the winter season.
Snow will move into the region this afternoon and will increase in intensity right in time for the Monday evening rush hour commute.
According to the National Weather Service in Detroit, light snow will spread into southeast Michigan late this morning and into early afternoon with only light accumulations through about 4 p.m.
After 4 p.m., snowfall will increase in intensity, and a general one to three inches of snow will fall into the evening hours.
Motorists are advised to use caution this evening and to plan ahead.
Snow will then taper off by early Tuesday morning.
