Huron Schools invites public to open forum for superintendent search

By Scott Bolthouse — Hub Editor — ScottBolthouse@HuronHub.com

Following the announcement that current Huron Schools Superintendent Richard Naughton plans to step down January 31, an open forum for public input regarding the search for his replacement has been scheduled.

The forum will take place at 6 p.m. on Sept. 11 at the library inside of Huron High School, 32044 Huron River Drive.

The district says that the Huron Schools Board of Education recently requested the Michigan Association of School Boards to help with conducting their search for the new superintendent.

The forum will be hosted by Dr. Rod Green, MASB consultant.

During the forum, Green will provide an overview of the search process and receive input from community members regarding the criteria used in evaluating candidates.

The district asks residents to visit  www.huronschools.com and click on the special link on the homepage to complete an online survey regarding the search for the next superintendent.
