Taylor man charged with murder of father stabbed at Huron Estates

An 18-year-old Taylor man was charged with first-degree murder Wednesday afternoon by Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy in connection to the stabbing death a 49-year-old father at Huron Estates mobile home community on July 30.

It is alleged that Stacy Rose arrived to the mobile home community durning the evening hours of July 30 and stabbed Huron Township resident Robert Briscoe, who was attempting to protect his son during an altercation that is believed to have been started by Rose.

The exact motive for the altercation has not yet been released by authorities, but they have confirmed that all involved were acquainted with each other.

If convicted, Rose could be sentenced with life in prison.

He is being held without bond in the Wayne County Jail.
