No-one was injured Wednesday morning during a house fire that occurred in the 28000 block of Mapleleaf Drive.

“Our firefighters do an outstanding job every day for our residents. In this case, with their quick actions, expertise, and leadership they were able to contain the fire quickly and make sure that the home as not a total loss. They were also able to stop the fire from spreading to neighboring homes which was a difficult task due to the homes close proximity to each other,” said Public Safety Director Everette Robbins.

All family members living in the house were already outside when Huron Township firefighters and paramedics responded just after 8 a.m. Wednesday morning.

The Ash Township Fire Department also responded to the scene for assistance, as well as the Huron Township Police Department.

Robbins said the fire was not suspicious in nature.
