A.M. Leather to relocate into building that housed former Mid-Sibley Market

If you’ve noticed some recent activity at the corner of Middle Belt and Sibley in Huron Township, it’s because a business will soon be relocating into the old Mid-Sibley Market building.

A.M. Leather, a family owned shop that specializes in all types of leather repairs, custom embroidery and motorcycle accessories, is currently in the process of renovating the building as they prepare to open for business sometime in the new year.

“We plan on moving our already established business, A.M. Leather, from Romulus to this location,” said Elizabeth Russom. “We plan on moving in January.”

Russom and her husband, Al, currently operate their leather shop in the strip mall on Eureka Road between Merriman and Middle Belt in Romulus.

They have owned A.M. Leather since 1992, which first opened in the former Gibraltar Trade Center showroom before moving a few times and ending up in Romulus.
