The corner where Huron River Drive, Hannan, and Waltz Road meet in downtown New Boston —  in a building which housed the former Mary Ann’s Drive-Inn — will soon be the location of a new restaurant.

Harry’s Corned Beef & Ham, a restaurant currently operating on Fort Street in Lincoln Park, is said to be revamping the old drive-inn and opening a second restaurant that will specialize in corned beef, ham, and many other coney island-type favorites.

The building, which has been receiving upgrades over the past several weeks, sat vacant in the heart of New Boston for years since the old diner closed.

The new restaurant will be an obvious upgrade to the area, and will lend residents another option to eat in the community.

The exact date that the restaurant will open is not yet known. A phone call placed last week to the owners of the Lincoln Park restaurant was not returned at the time this article was posted.
