Do you have a little Lego-lover in your home? Or maybe a kid who needs to get out of the house for a few hours in the middle of a steamy summer?
“Bricks 4 Kidz,” a special summer camp designed to teach the fundamentals of S.T.E.M. education — science, technology, engineering and mathematics — through the use of Legos, will be held July 18-22 at Willow United Methodist Church in New Boston.
According to the Bricks 4 Kidz website, their programs provide a safe, relaxed learning environment where initiative is invited and self-expression is celebrated.
Specially designed project kits and theme-based models provide kids with the opportunity to solve problems and develop an appreciation for how things work, while having fun and socializing in a non-competitive atmosphere.
One daily session will be held during the camp at Willow Church: “A Galaxy far away space camp: All things about space travel,” held from 9 a.m. to noon Monday through Friday.
The camp is designed for children kindergarten age and up.
The cost is $95 for the camp.
Willow Church is located at 36925 Willow Road, New Boston, MI, 48164.
