Starting tomorrow, residents in Huron Township will have a new grocery store to shop at located next door in the community of Flat Rock.
Meijer’s brand new 24-hour Flat Rock Supercenter, built at 21600 Vreeland Road, just east of Telegraph Road, is set to open for business at 7 a.m. Thursday morning.
A ribbon cutting ceremony will follow at 10 a.m., where Meijer leadership and local officials will make a donation to a local organization.
The Meijer gas station on the property officially opened July 14.
The retailer will also feature special promotions and events to commemorate the store’s grand opening celebration on Aug. 14.
According to Meijer officials, the store has created more than 280 jobs in the community and will provide local residents fresh produce delivered daily, affordable, high-quality merchandise and a full-service pharmacy that makes family health care a priority.
The Flat Rock store is part of a $400 million investment in nine new and 32 remodeled stores in 2016 across the Michigan-based retailer’s six-state footprint.
