Wayne County Parks to host family fun day at Crosswinds Marsh

Wayne County Parks is hosting “You’re Never Too Old To Be A Kid,” a day of activities for the entire family to enjoy at Crosswinds Marsh located at 27600 Haggerty Road on Saturday, May 14, from 10:00 a.m until noon.

The games and activities offered through this fun family event will have adults reminiscing of great times had during childhood. Families will enjoy a number of outdoor activities, which include potato sack and wheel barrel races, tug-o-war, tic-tac-toe, Hula Hoop, a free throw contest, a crab walk race and much, more.

This program is recommended for ages 8 and over. In the event of inclement weather, such as heavy storms and rain, the program will be cancelled. The event fee is $6.00 per child and $2.00 per adult; add $1.00 per person for non-Wayne County resident.

Advanced registration is required. Participants can call 734.654.1220 to register for this event.

Directions to Crosswinds:

From the south

  •   Take Interstate 275 N to Will-Carleton Road (exit #8).
  •   Take Will Carleton Road west 3 1⁄2 miles to Haggerty Road.
  •   Take Haggerty Road 1⁄2 mile north (right) to park entrance on the west (left) side of the road.

From the north

    •   Take Interstate 275 S to Will-Carleton Road (exit #8).
    •   Take Will Carleton Road west 3 1⁄2 miles to Haggerty Road.
    •   Take Haggerty Road 1⁄2 mile north (right) to park entrance on the west (left) side of the road.

*A GPS system may not provide valid directions to Crosswinds Marsh.
