A New Boston resident who lost her home to a fire recently had a GoFundMe account set up for her by a friend, and anyone can contribute to help the woman rebound from the devastating loss.

The GoFundMe page can be accessed here: https://www.gofundme.com/2wbyapzw

The fire occurred in the early morning hours of May 1.

On the page, her friend wrote:

“She is a good close friend who would give the shirt off her back to help everyone around her. She was at home in bed asleep and someone set her house on fire around 2:30 to 3:30 in the morning in New Boston Michigan. She had no homeowners insurance because she was unemployed. Her lights had recently been shut off and she has been very down on her luck. She was born and raised in that house and had had spent all of her life in that house. She is in her mid sixties and having to start over again. With nothing no money and only her friends and family to try to help her. I’m trying to raise money to help her get a place and get back on her feet because she just lost everything she ever had. But at least she still has her life. If there is any stuff you would like to give please call or text 734-231-0675 for more info.”
