In March 2014, I started the Huron Hub for a simple reason: to provide a website that residents of Huron Township could visit and read about news and events related only to this community.
It started organically, with a website and a social media destination where the issues could be shared and discussed by the people who live and work in this community.
On day one, the website had zero hits and the Facebook page had zero likes.
But thanks to you, it grew.
Today, “The Hub” has reached thousands of people across the web, and I sincerely thank each person who visits and shares the stories I post on a weekly basis. Without readers and people who spread the word, the Huron Hub would not have grown as much as it has in the past two years.
Of course, thanks to the businesses and organizations who regularly submit press releases, news tips, and advertising to the Huron Hub.
Special thanks to the people who have donated monetarily to this mission.
Huron Township’s residents are passionate about their community, their schools and their way of life — it’s apparent from the regular feedback on social media. Hopefully that passion has made a presence on the web through this site.
