A 31-year-old Huron man is wanted by police following a recent sex offender home verification sweep conducted by the Huron Township Police Detective Bureau.

Detective Lieutenant Leo Girard said that James David-Charles Gurganus has a warrant out for his arrest for failing to verify his current home address.

Anyone who may have information about his location should contact Lt. Girard at 734-753-4400.

During the sweep, one person was arrested for failing to verify their current address with authorities.

The sweep also found that 27 of the 28 registered sex offenders living in Huron are currently up to date on their addresses.

Girard thanked dispatcher Jill Evans for her “continued efforts monitoring and keeping up the sex offender registry.”

“Thank you Huron citizens for your continued cooperation in keeping Huron Safe,” Girard Said.
