Residents can support Huron Township Police’s ‘Shop with a Cop’ via GoFundMe

The Huron Township Police Department will be hosting its second annual Shop with a Cop event this year, and area residents who want to support the cause can donate using a GoFundMe page set up by the department.

Last year, Huron Police hosted their first ever Shop with a Cop event, which helped provide local children with toys for Christmas.

“Last year, we were able to provide a Christmas for five Huron Township children,” said Police Chief Everette Robbins on the GoFundMe page.

“Our goal is to make this the best Christmas for children that other wise may not have one.”

After last year’s event, Robbins said that many residents asked him how they could donate to the cause, promoting the formation of the GoFundMe campaign for this year’s holiday season.
