If you’ve ever had an interest in the history of Detroit Metro Airport, you’re in luck.

The formation of a historical society is in the works, and the public is welcome to attend the first meeting.

Daniel Mason, a volunteer historian for Detroit Metro Airport, will be hosting the meeting from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Oct. 24 at the Romulus Public Library, 11121 Wayne Road.

The goal of the society will be to educate people on the airport’s “rich history.”

Membership details and other specifics will be discussed during the first meeting.

For more information or if you are unable to be present at the first meeting, contact Mason at 734-955-8875 or at
