With the fall leaves changing, Wayne County Parks continues to provide high-quality programs for all ages to enjoy at Crosswinds Marsh. Crosswinds Marsh, located at 27600 Haggerty Road, is a wetland/wildlife preserve covering 1,000 acres of land.
Thursday, September 17 and 24 from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
This series is sure to satisfy the 3 or 4 year old’s curiosity for the natural world! During this program, attendees will act out nature stories through dress up and role play, play games and make crafts. This program is recommended for children ages 3-4. You will be amazed at the creative items you can make with plastic bottles you recycle and throw away. From kid’s crafts to decorative items to practical pieces, this program will give attendees a new way of looking at plastic bottles and containers. Saturday, October 17 from 10:00 a.m. – Noon
Michigan is home to eleven species of owls. We will learn about these mysterious birds using bird mounts and listening to their calls. Participants will also dissect owl pellets to find out what they have been eating. This program is recommended for children ages 7 to adult.
