On Aug. 16, 2015, The Huron Sportsman’s Association held a dedication ceremony at the Sportsmen’s Field in honor of our son, Richard Kent Lowe.

Richard (Dickie) sacrificed his life in the Huron River on Aug. 12, 1976, where he rescued three young boys.

Walt and I wish to thank all the members of the Huron Sportsmen’s Association for recognizing and honoring our son. Memorial

We wish to thank Brian Moore, the chairman of Ceremony for his outstanding job. Brain was a great friend to our son, and has kept the memory Richard in his heart these many years.

As a former Huron Township resident, I too, thank the Huron Sportmens Association and the Huron Township Board for this very special honor for the dear brother of our daughter-in-law, Pamela Lowe Krzyske. Though so many years have gone by, since the event that cost Richard Kent Lowe his life, I think it’s especially significant that this has been remembered and honored. God bless all who were involved in carrying this to completion.
