13 year old Huron resident flees from police on a motorcycle; Unlocked vehicles burglarized in July police beat

July 2 – A decoy operation was conducted for all stores within Huron Township for underage sales of tobacco and liquor to minors. All stores were compliant.

July 3 – Officers were called to the 31000 block of West for a death investigation. An 80 year old Huron Township woman was pronounced deceased at the scene. The death was ruled a natural death.

July 11 – Huron Township Officers were involved in a pursuit with a motorcycle near the intersections of King and Inkster Roads. The driver crashed and was transported to Southshore Hospital with minor injuries. A 35 year old man from Taylor was arrested for Fleeing and Eluding.

July 13 – Officers responded to the 22000 block of Lafons for an assault in progress. A 37 year old Huron Township man and a 29 year old Huron Township woman were arrested for Domestic Assault.

July 16 – Officers were called to the 38000 block of Midway for an assault in progress. A 45 year old Huron Township man was arrested for Felonious Assault.

July 19 – Officers responded to the 38000 block of Judd Road for a larceny from motor vehicle. $25 in change was taken from three unlocked vehicles at the residence. Officers took another report in the 38000 block of Judd where miscellaneous items were removed from two unlocked vehicles at that residence.

July 22 – Officers responded to the 31000 block of Adora Lane for a report of an attempted home invasion. A screen was removed from a basement window. No entry was made into the residence. There is no further suspect information at this time.

July 22 – Officers responded to the 19704 block of Merriman Road for a report of larceny of tires and guns from an unlocked pole barn.

July 24 – Officers responded to the 28000 block of Charlamagne for a female not breathing. A 60 year old Colorado woman was pronounced deceased at the scene. The death has been ruled a natural death.

July 24 – Officers were called to the 22000 block of Bell Road for a breaking and entering complaint. The residence was vacant and nothing was taken from the residence.

July 25 – Officers were involved in a pursuit with two motorcycles in the area of King and Inkster Roads. One motorcycle crashed and the second one fled. A 13 year old Huron Township juvenile was arrested for fleeing and eluding police and turned over to his parents pending further investigation and charges.
